1. Who we are

McLean Counseling Center ("McLean Counseling Center," "we," "our," or "us") is a counseling, psychological testing, and psychiatry practice in McLean, Virginia. We operate this website. Our principal place of business is 1307 Vincent Pl, McLean, VA 22101. Phone: (703) 722-6561. Email: admin@mcleancounselingcenter.com.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website, our forms, our booking calendar, and our text messages and emails, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly when you:

• Submit a form on our website (name, email address, phone number, insurance provider, and anything you choose to write in the message field).
• Book a consultation on our online calendar.
• Agree to receive text messages from us (your mobile number and a record of your consent).
• Call, text or email us.

We also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit the website, such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited and the page that referred you, through standard server logs, cookies and analytics tools.

Please do not include detailed medical or mental health information in website forms. Share those details with your clinician once care begins.

3. How we use your information

• To respond to your inquiry and match you with a clinician.
• To schedule, confirm and remind you about consultations and appointments.
• To help you submit claims to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement when you ask us to.
• To send you messages about your inquiry by email and, if you agreed, by text message (see section 5).
• To operate, secure and improve our website and services.
• To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only in these limited cases:

• Service providers that help us run the practice, such as our CRM and scheduling platform, email and text message delivery providers, and website hosting. They may use your information only to provide those services to us.
• Insurance claims, when you ask us to help you submit claims for reimbursement.
• Legal requirements, when required by law, court order or government request, or to protect the safety of our clients or others.
• Business transfers, if our practice is merged or sold, subject to the same protections described here.

None of the above applies to text messaging data. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all sharing described in this section and will not be shared with any third parties (see section 5).

5. Text messages (SMS)

If you check the text message consent box on our website or booking form, you agree to receive text messages from McLean Counseling Center at the mobile number you provided. These messages relate to your inquiry: scheduling your free consultation, appointment confirmations and reminders, and follow-ups about your request. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving services.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent, share or trade your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in consent with anyone. Information is shared only with the service providers that deliver our text messages, and only to send those messages to you.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive one final message confirming your opt-out. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (703) 722-6561 or admin@mcleancounselingcenter.com. See our Terms and Conditions for the full text messaging terms.
